On 1 July we welcomed a wonderful group of mature age Japanese students. While they only numbered 13 in total they had a memorable experience having English classes and activities including a trip to the Gold Coast, a City Tour and the many Aussie animals at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Homestay though was the highlight for most of them.
On 5 July we had a graduation ceremony and party and each student spoke about their appreciation for the kindness and welcome they were shown. Comments from our Homestay families also included statements like – “this was the best Homestay experience I have ever had!”. All in all it was a wonderful way to start the busy Study Tour season and we look forward to welcoming the group back in the future – we will all miss this wonderful group of people.
